Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Rapany ("we", "us"), the operator of rapany.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What the Service does

Rapany turns photos you upload into short, funny rap videos made with artificial intelligence. You pick a stage (for example birthday, pet, roast or duo), add photos, and we generate a vertical video with an original AI beat and verse. Every account gets one free, watermarked preview. Full videos are paid with credits.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your sign-in details safe, and for everything done through your account. One person, one account: creating extra accounts to get more free previews is not allowed.

3. Photo rules (please read)

You may only upload photos of:

• yourself;
• your own pet; or
• another adult who has given you permission to put them in an AI video and share it.

Before every video you confirm that these conditions are met. You must not upload, or ask for videos of:

• anyone under 18, including in the background;
• public figures (celebrities, politicians, influencers) or anyone you are impersonating;
• nudity, sexual content, or people in underwear or swimwear;
• content that harasses, bullies, threatens or humiliates someone, or that promotes hate or violence;
• anything illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights (including photos you don't have the right to use).

Roasts are for fun. Keep them playful and about things the person would laugh at too. Never target someone's race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or other protected trait.

4. Safety checks and enforcement

We run automated safety checks on photos, lyrics topics and finished videos. We may block an upload, refuse a request, withhold a finished video, or remove content that we reasonably believe breaks these Terms. A blocked request does not use credits. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, especially for content involving minors, sexual content or harassment, and we report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.

5. AI-generated videos

• Videos are created by AI models. Results vary and can be inaccurate, odd or imperfect: lip-sync, likeness, lyrics and music may not match what you expected.
• Similar requests may produce similar results for other users.
• Videos are AI-generated and must not be presented as real footage of real events or real statements by a person. Don't use them to deceive, defraud, defame or impersonate anyone, or to influence elections. Where a platform or the law requires it, label the video as AI-generated.
• Beats and verses are generated originally by the model. They do not use real songs or real artists' voices on purpose, and you must not ask for them.
• Free previews carry a watermark and are view-only. Don't remove or hide the watermark, and don't try to download previews by other means.

6. Your content and your videos

You keep ownership of your photos and anything you type. You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, safety-check and transmit them, and to send them to our AI and moderation providers, only to provide the Service to you. This license ends when you delete the content, except for copies we must keep by law or for enforcing these Terms.

Your videos. As between you and us, and subject to these Terms and your compliance with them, we assign to you any rights we have in the full videos you create, and you may use them for personal and commercial purposes. AI-generated material may not be protected by copyright in some countries, and we can't guarantee that a video is unique or free of third-party claims. We don't use your photos or videos in our marketing without your permission.

You are responsible for your content and for how you use your videos, including getting permission from everyone who appears in them.

7. Credits, payments and the free preview

• Free preview: one per account, watermarked, short and view-only. If a preview fails or is canceled, you get it back. If it is blocked by a safety check, it counts as used.
• Credits are used to make full videos. The number of credits per video is shown before you create it. Prices are shown at checkout and payments are processed by Stripe.
• Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and expire as described at purchase: one-time packs are valid for one year, and subscription credits expire at the end of each billing period.
• If a render fails or its finished video is blocked by our safety check, the credits are returned to your balance automatically.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime, and you keep access until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

8. Acceptable use of the Service

Don't abuse, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or try to bypass the Service, its limits or its safety checks. Don't use automated tools to create accounts or videos, and don't resell access to the Service without our written permission.

9. Our intellectual property

The Service, its design, code, stage scenes, logos and the "Rapany" name belong to us or our licensors. These Terms don't give you any rights to them except the right to use the Service as described here.

10. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, email support@rapany.com with: your contact details, a description of the work and the content you believe infringes it, where it appears, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for them. We remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we discontinue the Service for reasons other than your breach, we will give you reasonable notice and refund unused paid credits.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that videos will meet your expectations.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

14. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you uploaded, a video you shared, or your breach of these Terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, to the extent the law allows.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top, and for material changes we will notify you by email or on the Service before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the new Terms.

16. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of the Service is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a right, we are not waiving it. You may not transfer these Terms. We may transfer them as part of a merger or sale of the business.
